Recioto della Valpolicella Classica Ca’ Pigneto 2013
A cardinal in red silk clothes. This is Recioto, an ancient wine in a unique terroir. The grapes are selected and the harvest is by hand. The grapes are let to dry until january. Fermentation is interrupted leaving residual sugars in the wine (110 gr/l). Maturation for 8 months in Slavonian oak barrels. In the glass we find an imposing red, the aroma reminds us to spices, cherries, violet; in the mouth the sweet is like a soft velvet…long, round, with fresh notes.
